Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has commended Security Agents in Rivers State for the safe rescue of the Registrar of Ken Saro Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori, Mrs. Lillian Davies from her abductors.
In a Press Statement by her Press Secretary, Paul Damgbor, Dr. Banigo thanked all those involved in the rescue mission for their gallant effort and show of patriotism.
Dr. Banigo said the rescue of Mrs. Davies by Security Operatives four days after she was abducted along Bori-Yeghe Road shows that given necessary cooperation, the Security operatives can checkmate crime rate in the State.
She expressed the commitment of Governor Wike’s administration to support the State Police Command and other Security Agencies in the State to rid the State of crime and criminality while calling on the public to always offer useful information to the Police to enable them combat crime.
The Deputy Governor appealed to youths involved in kidnapping of innocent citizens of the State to desist forthwith as the long arm of the law awaits anyone found culpable of criminality in the State.
