Wike has stated that his administration will implement the state's development blueprint, the New Rivers Vision to rapidly develop the state.
Speaking on Wednesday in Port Harcourt after inspecting ongoing projects, Governor Wike said that the blueprint was designed for the empowerment of the people. He said that his administration will always place the interest and welfare of the people ahead of any other consideration.
The governor who was accompanied on the project inspection by former General Secretary of the Nigeria Bar Association, Mr Eddy Mark and the Sole Administrator of Greater Port Harcourt Development Authority, Ambassador Desmond Akawor interacted with residents of Woji road, Rumurolu during the project inspection.
He assured them that he will continue to monitor the progress of work to ensure the state government gets value for money invested. The Woji residents expressed gratitude to Governor Wike for living up to the pledge he made to them during the electioneering period.
A statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant on Electronic Media to the Rivers State Governor informed that project sites across the state are at different levels of completion while over 80 kilometres of roads have been completed by the administration under its Operation Zero Potholes Programme.
